Projects

society-hub
Engineering Society Hub

One of the organizations I am involved with is the Student Engineers' Council (SEC for short). I am a member of the Systems Administration Committee and am currently working on a new website called Project Spade. The project revolves around having a central location for students and organizations to view and post events clubs are having on campus. Our team (5 junior CS students) is using the MERN tech stack, and I am working on the frontend side of the project with one other member. Click on the image to see more screenshots of the product.

Career Fair Backpack Check-In

This is in development for the Spring 2021 SEC Career Fair. It uses Google Apps Script to track all student backpack check-ins/outs at the fair. Volunteers can swipe a student's ID or enter their UIN and the optimal location will be given for the backpack to be placed. A similar process will occur for backpack check-out. In the process of making changes Career Fair Coordinaters have suggested and fixing a few small bugs.

Fantasy Football Draft Info

This static site was created for my manager at work as a simple side project this summer. He wanted a way to visualize which positions were drafted during which rounds for his fantasy football league. I was given five years worth of data and created the graphs with Python. They were saved as images and then used on the static site.

Personal Website

This project was started this summer in preparation for the Programming Studio class I am taking this fall. Our first project in this class will be creating a personal website using HTML/CSS/Javascript. This website uses Bootstrap and was inspired by the website linked below. I wanted to get a head start on it since I did not have a nice website to attatch to internship applications!

volleyball
Volleyball

I started playing club volleyball in 5th grade and it pretty much took over my life. I was playing on nationally ranked teams every year and made varsity as a freshman at my highschool. Volleyball has taught me many life lessons such as teamwork, responsibility, and leadership. Even though I don't play competitively anymore, I still love to play pick up games or pepper with my roommate.

piano
Piano

My parents signed me up for piano lessons at the age of 6 and I am so thankful that they did. I took lessons from first grade until sophomore year of highschool and have continued to learn and practice after that. It has made me appreciate music in way I know I wouldn't if I didn't play an instument. It's also a cool party trick if there just so happens to be a piano lying around!

wakeboarding
Wakeboarding

Last summer I finally decided to learn how to wakeboard. I say finally because the neighborhood I've lived in my entire life has a small lake that's just big enough for watersports and I'd never learned. We own a waverunner and have the lake in our backyard and I'd never learned. My friends like to give me a lot of grief about that. Anyways, I love it now and go out any chance I get!
